Aah september a nice month for those who don’t have to go to school. So nice to wake up a monday the first of september and realise you can go back to bed because you’re still on holiday (sorry for the people who have to work). But a new month means also a new playlist by Criznittle. yup that’s right it’s early but i don’t complain (do you ?). As much as i want to say something about the music on the list and what it sounds like, i’m not in the power do do so because nobody seeds it. The creative minds behind gorillaz (Damon Albarn and Jamie hewlett) have created a studio album based on the opera Monkey: Journey To The West.

a bit more explanation would be nice wouldn’t it no?

well here’s what the site says

The album is based on Monkey: Journey to the West, the opera which premiered at Manchester International Festival in 2007. With lyrics based on ancient Chinese texts and performed in Mandarin, the album has been recorded in London and Beijing over the last twelve months.

now you probably ask how does that sound.Well it’s hard to say you actually got to hear it for yourself

last.fm launches public beta

last.fm has launched a public beta of their restyled website. It was already in beta for (paying) subscribers But now it’s open for everyone. What does this mean you say? well it means this

• a new lay out no more round buttons and a complete re-organization of your home-page (screen shot)
• a library where you can see all your artists you have listened to (yes even your celine dion collection)
• you can subscribe to pod casts (like free tracks and stuff little hint do not put it in a rss reader really do not do this)
• a recent activity reader on your profile page

• a little bar that you can click open and navigate to pages directly (like go to events, library etc.)
• the last.fm in-page player (whats in a name) is more prominent but then again it looks like a myspace player .

I bet that there are tons of other features on the beta page so go check them out and be sure to let them know what you think about it.

Yesterday i was watching TV and all of a sudden i came across Mtv. So what no big deal you say. the thing was that they were actually playing music video’s instead of one of their stupid “reality shows” secondly they were playing a music video that i never saw but the i did know the music. it’s a french song by noir desir. It has been such a long time that i heard this song that i completely forgot about it i didn’t know when and where i heard it the firs time and it came as such a surprise to hear after all this time. enough nostalgia & have fun watching this beautiful clip.
